Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Research Technician to lead and support our Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in initiating Early Phase clinical trials with maximum speed and efficiency. This is a full-time, weekend-only position (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), available in either day or overnight shifts, based in Dallas, TX.

In this vital role, you will collaborate with leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies, focusing on establishing the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of new drugs. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient care through your involvement in Phase 1 trials, allowing you to build relationships with participants and witness the development of innovative medical technologies and treatments firsthand.

What You Will Do

Utilize your clinical skills and judgment to provide high-quality care for participants in clinical trials, responding to emergency situations as necessary. Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurately measuring and recording vital signs: blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature.
  • Preparing and accurately recording ECGs/Holters.
  • Collecting and processing biological samples as specified in study protocols.
  • Monitoring meals to ensure dietary compliance among research participants.
  • Assisting in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment.
  • Supporting screening procedures as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

You Need to Bring…

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Fortrea may consider relevant experience in lieu of educational requirements).
  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification preferred.
  • 0-1 year of clinical research experience; previous clinical experience is ideal but not required. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with strict adherence to study protocols.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with technology and electronic data collection environments.
