Research Science Liaison (RSL) at Syneos Health

The company is currently seeking an extroverted and science-driven Research Science Liaison (RSL) who can effectively foster relationships with key stakeholders, primarily focusing on supporting clinical trial engagement and enrollment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scientific Relationship Management:
    Establish and maintain strong, productive relationships with Principal Investigators (PIs), Study Coordinators, and clinical trial sites. You’ll support the enrollment and conduct of clinical studies by working with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the effective implementation of study protocols and strategies.

  • Patient Recruitment & Site Engagement:
    Partner with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations leads to identify new clinical sites, accelerate recruitment, and enroll appropriate patients in clinical trials. You’ll also assist in developing and implementing regional recruitment strategies and support retention initiatives.

  • Medical Education & Support:
    Deliver medical and scientific education at trial sites based on study-specific engagement plans. You'll also provide input on training materials for clinical trials, therapeutic areas, and disease states as per client requirements.

  • Collaboration with Investigators and Teams:
    Work closely with sites to address investigator questions or concerns and suggest local outreach strategies for recruitment and retention. You will also collaborate on investigator meetings, providing support and feedback to improve the recruitment process.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    Advanced science degree is required (MD, PhD, PharmD, NP, PA, or equivalent). An MD, PhD, or PharmD is preferred.

  • Experience:

    • Relevant clinical trial experience is required.

    • Experience in inflammatory disease states is essential, with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) experience preferred.

    • Proven ability to interact with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs).

    • Prior experience in clinical research, patient recruitment, or investigational site management is a plus.

  • Skills and Abilities:

    • Must be able to travel as needed.

    • Strong knowledge of clinical trial design, conduct, and clinical study results.

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with investigators and clinical teams.
