Core Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a highly self-motivated individual with experience in drug discovery and computational biology to support drug discovery programs by creating target dossiers. These dossiers assess therapeutic targets, compiling structural, functional, pharmacogenomic, and safety information relevant to specific disease areas.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Develop a basic understanding of immunology, oncology, and other disease areas related to drug discovery.
  • Conduct hands-on research by reviewing scientific literature, clinical studies, and patents to create reports based on client requirements.
  • Perform competitive intelligence analysis for small and large molecules concerning target biology, safety, efficacy, toxicity, and PK/PD.
  • Utilize various bioinformatics databases and explore new resources.
  • Critically analyze and review reports, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance the content and quality of reports.
  • Prepare presentations for client discussions.

Educational Qualification:

  • Postgraduate or PhD in Biochemistry, Immunology, Cell Biology, Pharmacy, or Biotechnology (experience in early drug discovery preferred).

Experience:

  • 2-6 years post-graduation or 1-2 years post-PhD (corporate experience preferred).
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing scientific reports/documents.

Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Basic understanding of immunology, oncology, and the drug discovery pipeline.
  • Knowledge of in vitro and cell-based assays for target protein validation.
  • Experience with competitive intelligence in target or therapeutic areas.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in verbal and written English.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Eager to learn and adapt to new skills as required.
