    Position Overview

    Designation & Level: Research Associate -1 / Research Associate -2 (L1/L2)
    Location: Greater Noida
    Department: Synthesis
    Reporting Manager: Group Leader

    The Research Associate in Synthesis will play a pivotal role in the synthesis, purification, and characterization of novel chemical entities. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their expertise in organic chemistry and contribute to cutting-edge drug discovery projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Synthesis & Purification: Synthesize, purify, and characterize novel chemical compounds for drug discovery.
    • Chemical Reactions: Ensure safe conduct of reactions with a strong understanding of organic chemistry principles.
    • Multi-step Synthesis: Apply knowledge of functional group conversion and multi-step synthesis techniques.
    • Retrosynthetic Analysis: Basic knowledge of retrosynthetic analysis (desirable).
    • Analytical Skills: Analyze NMR, IR, and Mass Spectrometry data with excellence.
    • Reaction Safety: Maintain strict adherence to safe lab practices.
    • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to move chemistry projects forward.
    • Technical Expertise: Expertise in TLC, column purification, extraction, and handling pyrophoric reactions.
    • Lab Practices: Maintain safe and productive laboratory conditions.
    • Literature Search: Proficient in conducting literature searches using tools such as Reaxys.
    • Communication Skills: Demonstrate good communication and presentation skills.

    Person Profile

    Qualifications:

    • M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or a related field, or M. Pharma.

    Experience:

    • 1-6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
