Core Purpose of the Role:
Synthesize peptides from milligram to multi-gram scale and maintain all peptide synthesis-related equipment.


Role Accountabilities:

  • Expertise in synthetic peptide chemistry, including the synthesis of long-chain, branched, labeled, disulfide, lactam, and head-to-tail cyclized peptides.
  • Ability to independently perform solid-phase peptide synthesis and characterize peptides using HPLC and LCMS.
  • Plan and execute daily operations in the peptide synthesis lab, including identifying synthetic routes for conformationally constrained and derivatized peptides.
  • Prepare protocols, guidelines, and SOPs for lab equipment/instruments and processes.
  • Understand safety, health, and environment systems and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Syngene’s quality standards by all team members.

Educational Qualification:
M.Sc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology

Work Experience:
1-3 years of experience in peptide chemistry.
