Job Title: Research Associate, In Vivo Pharmacology

Role Overview
We are looking for a Research Associate to support our In Vivo Pharmacology team by conducting rodent studies that contribute to our Platform Science research. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mouse and rat studies, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail is crucial for handling samples and supporting various studies across multiple disease areas.

Key Responsibilities

Primarily assist in executing internal in vivo studies involving rats and mice.
Perform technical procedures such as dosing, anesthesia administration, surgical interventions, and post-operative care.
Label tubes, process samples, and manage shipping and support activities.
Oversee the management of samples collected from in vivo studies.
Execute and troubleshoot standard protocols, adapting them as needed.
Accurately document scientific work and contribute to reports and presentations.
Uphold the highest standards of animal welfare throughout all experimental studies.
Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or data analysis software is a plus.

Qualifications

1-3 years of relevant industry experience, or a BS in biological sciences (or equivalent) with related experience.
Preferred expertise in rodent techniques, including:
- Administration of pharmacological agents via intravenous (IV), intraperitoneal (IP), subcutaneous (SC), and intramuscular (IM) routes.
- Blood and tissue collection through various methods.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing independent responsibilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent organizational abilities.
Proven track record of working effectively in a team-oriented setting and contributing to team goals.

Additional Information
This is a site-based position at Moderna, requiring full-time attendance. Remote work is not an option.
