Job Title: Research Associate - Assay Development and Screening
Location: Hyderabad, India
Department: Biology

Responsibilities:

  • Animal Models & Assay Development:

    • Develop biochemical and cell-based in vitro assays using various technologies such as Fluorescence Polarization, HTRF, FRET, BRET, TR-FRET, Luminescence, AlphaScreen, AlphaLisa, etc.
    • Screen NCEs using validated biochemical and cell-based in vitro assays with the above-mentioned technologies.
    • Set up and execute qPCR and Western blot assays.
    • Draft SOPs for validated assays and technical write-ups for client proposals.
    • Maintain accurate experimental records and manage laboratory equipment.
  • Safety & Compliance:

    • Follow safety SOPs for cell culture and ensure proper maintenance and use of lab equipment and instruments as per SOPs and general housekeeping guidelines.
  • Data Integrity & Record Keeping:

    • Maintain strict data integrity and adhere to relevant policies.
  • Skill Development:

    • Continuously improve knowledge and skills in the work area through formal and informal learning.
    • Develop behavioral competencies through workshops and feedback sessions with managers.

Required Educational Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-3 years after MSc/M.Tech in an industry setup
  • Education: MSc/M.Tech in any applied biological sciences (e.g., Biotechnology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, etc.)
