Position Overview

Designation: Research Associate - 1 (RA 1)
Experience: 2 years
Qualification: M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry

The Research Associate - Analytical Chemistry will play a key role in supporting analytical research projects within Jubilant Biosys. This position will involve handling and operating key instruments in the lab (e.g., HPLC, LCMS, NMR) and providing analytical support for synthesis and purification processes, ensuring quality control and compliance with safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Instrument Handling: Operate and manage instruments such as HPLC, LCMS, and NMR for routine analysis.
  • Analytical Methodology: Conduct routine and advanced analyses and assist in method development on key instruments.
  • Problem Solving: Work closely with the synthetic team to resolve analytical issues and support experimental workflows.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and documentation for all analytical instruments.
  • Laboratory Safety: Ensure a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and instrument performance.

Person Profile

  • Education: M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry, with exposure to HPLC, LCMS, and NMR.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in handling and operating HPLC, LCMS, and NMR.
    • Knowledge of routine and advanced analytical techniques.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in collaboration with synthetic teams.
    • Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
    • Strong understanding of analytical instrument maintenance, cleaning, and calibration.
    • Adherence to laboratory safety standards.
