Remote Medical Billing Specialist

Job Type: Remote
Shift Options: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CST

Overview:

As a Billing Specialist I, you will handle the qualification, review, and triage of claims for behavioral health retrospective reviews. This role involves collaboration with claim processors, the behavioral health retrospective review team, providers, facilities, and clinical teams. You will use various operating systems and web-based programs to retrieve document images, gather additional information, and manage claims to ensure compliant, timely, and accurate billing practices. Knowledge of both medical and behavioral health terminology is essential.

Qualifications:

Willingness to work in CST.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare reimbursement, medical insurance/billing, or related fields.
Minimum of 1 year of experience with healthcare reimbursement systems.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Working knowledge of medical and behavioral health terminology.
Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
