The Position

As a Regional Medical Advisor, you will actively contribute to medico-marketing activities, executing the local medical strategy in India, and supporting the implementation of Novo Nordisk’s Medical Affairs objectives. You will work closely with both the marketing and sales teams to ensure effective product positioning and strategic planning, while also staying up to date with the latest scientific knowledge. Key responsibilities include:

  • Medical Strategy Execution: Implement the Medical Affairs strategy in the designated region and support the brand team with local market insights and feedback.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture strong scientific relationships with key influencers, healthcare professionals (HCPs), and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Training & Education: Lead training initiatives for field and marketing personnel to ensure they are equipped with up-to-date knowledge on disease areas, products, and therapy strategies.
  • Scientific Interaction: Foster robust scientific interactions and advocacy for Novo Nordisk’s portfolio among external stakeholders.
  • Market Insight Gathering: Participate in scientific meetings, engage with KOLs, and relay feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement.
  • Operational Excellence: Collaborate with internal teams to address challenges and changing market dynamics, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Medical Degree (MBBS, MD in Pharmacology) from a reputable institution.
  • MDS/BDS with at least 2 years of clinical work experience (alternative experience in Pharmacovigilance, Medical Affairs, clinical research, or medical writing also considered).
  • Strong scientific knowledge and a keen interest in diabetes and associated treatments.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and the ability to analyze complex situations.
  • Planning, execution, and follow-up skills, with a creative and innovative attitude toward driving initiatives with operational excellence.
