The Role:
As a Referral Laboratory Management Specialist I, you will:

  • Exemplify and adhere to ICON's core values centered around People, Clients, and Performance.
  • Travel approximately 5% domestically and/or internationally.
  • Assist in identifying new referral lab vendors to support specific protocols or organizational needs.
  • Manage the onboarding of new referral laboratory vendors, coordinating the execution of Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and providing appropriate qualification and audit scope details to Quality Assurance (QA).
  • Select appropriate on-boarded/approved vendors for testing solutions for new proposals and active studies, reviewing quotations, and organizing billing.
  • Evaluate test specifications and sample requirements, ensuring all referral laboratory study setup documentation is complete before study initiation.
  • Monitor the quality of referral labs, managing result entry and ensuring data delivery timelines are met.
  • Oversee maintenance of referral laboratory study setup trackers, procurement trackers, and the master vendor list for MSA updates.
  • Address queries and issues raised by internal teams and external customers, coordinating regular status update calls with laboratories and clients as necessary.
  • Perform additional administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and setting reminders for important dates.
  • Assist in creating and documenting new processes in SOP format for the department.
