Function Introduction:
The Oral Care category, through its Billion Smiles Mission, aims to promote healthy teeth and beautiful smiles for 1 billion consumers worldwide. As the Innovation Process Expert, you will be responsible for designing and implementing processing innovations and technologies for our core oral care brands.

This role is based in Mumbai, India, reporting to the R&D PC Oral Care Group Leader, Innovation Formulation & Processing. Occasional local and international travel is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop process engineering strategies for the Oral Care R&D innovation pipeline.
  • Translate business strategy into an R&D program for new innovations and technologies.
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes using chemical engineering and physical sciences principles.
  • Lead digitization of pilot plant processing and apply process modeling.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to implement new innovations and processes in sourcing units.
  • Work with Oral Care formulation leaders to transfer insights and align process innovation programs.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Oral Care laboratory and pilot plant formulation & processing.
  • Expertise in engineering principles, physical sciences, and colloid science.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and modeling to develop process solutions.
  • Strong statistical and data analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to lead technology and innovation projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Awareness of external technologies, competitors, and academic collaborations.
  • Understanding of safety, regulatory, and quality principles related to processing.
  • Knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) protection for technologies and insights.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
