Role Title: Quality Line Inspector

About the Role:

JCS Health Care Services, Inc. is seeking a hardworking and efficient Quality Line Inspector for our facility in Passaic, NJ. The Quality Assurance (QA) Line Inspector is responsible for performing in-process checks for the filling and assembling of quality products, documenting work in process (WIP) and finished goods (F/G), and collaborating with Manufacturing to ensure items are filled and assembled according to standards and specifications.

Essential Functions:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assure product quality according to specifications.
  • Enforce Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and company policies.
  • Verify fill and assembly instructions match the bill of material (BOM) and work order.
  • Verify all labeling used on the line, including shade, bottom, ingredient, and UPC.
  • Audit the filling line to ensure line clearance was performed, bulk is approved, and cGMPs are followed.
  • Collect test samples for physical, retain, customer, and first production needs.
  • Perform all in-process inspections as outlined in fill and assembly instructions, including:
    • Fill Weight
    • Fill Day Code Format
    • Cap Torque
    • Vacuum Test (leak test)
    • Component Verification
    • Assembly
    • Customer-specific requirements
  • Create and issue reject forms for non-conformances.
  • Interface with all disciplines of Quality and Senior Management to communicate ideas and goals clearly.
  • Working knowledge of Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School graduate.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or related industry in Quality Assurance / Quality Control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word™, Excel™, PowerPoint™, and email software.
  • Ability to accurately communicate information to other departments and Senior Management both verbally and via email.

Physical Demands:

  • Occasionally required to stand for extended periods while performing job duties.
  • Ability to move or lift objects up to 15 lbs.
  • Required to wear appropriate safety gear as needed.
