Position: Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Quality Control Specialist

Job Summary

We are looking for a Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Quality Control Specialist to join our team. This role involves executing and enhancing quality control processes aligned with departmental guidelines to manage financial crime and money laundering risks effectively. The position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly by identifying compliance gaps, driving solutions, and collaborating with investigative teams to address risks and enhance processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Control Execution:

    • Conduct quality control processes, adhering to Departmental Operating Instructions (DOIs).
    • Use a risk-based approach to detect and mitigate financial crime/money laundering risks.
  • Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Publish and present quality control findings.
    • Lead discussions with investigative teams, highlighting exceptions and identifying thematic trends.
  • Process Optimization:

    • Plan workflows to meet deadlines efficiently.
    • Recommend adjustments to processes and DOIs based on findings.
  • Risk Management:

    • Report regulatory breaches to senior management and regulators.
    • Take swift remedial action to resolve compliance issues.
  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Develop expertise in AML Monitoring and Case Management systems.
  • Support & Collaboration:

    • Provide the necessary tools, processes, and resources to maintain FCC controls.
    • Stay informed about the broader business, market, and economic environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Economic Crime Investigation, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Experience:

    • 3–5 years of experience in a large multinational financial institution, consulting firm, or law firm.
  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of AML, Sanctions, CDD, and Anti-Bribery regulations.
    • Familiarity with SAR processes, MI generation, and SAR QC functions.
    • Transaction monitoring experience.
    • Ability to analyze complex information, conduct research, and interpret data.
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams.
    • Personal agility and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Certifications:

    • CAMS certification is preferred.

  • Base Salary Range: $60,174–$90,262 USD (final offer determined based on skills, experience, education, and location).
