Job Responsibilities

1. Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Data Management/Operations and other functional groups, including Project Management and Clinical Monitoring.
  • Oversee Data Management activities to ensure compliance with contracts, SOPs, and regulations.
  • Provide project-specific training for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate resources and manage workloads for the Data Management/Data Operations team.

2. Operational Excellence

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, ensuring alignment with SOPs.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates to the sponsor and project team.
  • Use tools and metrics for data collection and query management.
  • Manage financial aspects of assigned projects, including revenue recognition and scope changes.

3. Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure all required documentation is complete, up-to-date, and audit-ready.
  • Participate in internal, sponsor, and third-party audits.
  • Stay proficient in Data Management systems and processes through regular training.

4. People Management

  • Train and mentor data management staff.
  • Participate in proposal bid defense meetings and provide functional expertise.
  • Support career development within the Data Management team.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, nursing, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
  • Relevant experience in clinical data management, preferably in a CRO setting.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Clinical Data Management practices and relational database systems like Oracle Clinical, Rave, or Inform.
  • Strong understanding of ICH/GCP and medical terminology.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.

Additional Details

  • Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%).
  • Flexibility to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
