Job Overview

Fortrea is seeking a dynamic Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and integration of technology products within our Clinical Pharmacology Services business line. This pivotal role will shape innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients in the life sciences sector. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between technology and business, ensuring our products excel in functionality, business effectiveness, and user satisfaction. Your success will drive efficiency, speed, and cost reduction in our operations.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Product Lifecycle Management:
    Lead the product life cycle across multiple technology platforms supporting Clinical Pharmacology Services.

  • Market Research:
    Conduct research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the life sciences sector.

  • Requirements Definition:
    Collaborate with business subject matter experts to define and prioritize product requirements, features, and functionalities.

  • Product Roadmaps:
    Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring clear communication and alignment among all stakeholders.

  • Business Case Development:
    Define and champion business cases for solutions, supported by thorough ROI analysis and justification.

  • Build vs. Buy Assessments:
    Evaluate options to solve business problems effectively.

  • SaaS Integration:
    Implement and integrate third-party SaaS software into existing workflows.

  • Custom Software Oversight:
    Lead internal teams in implementing custom software solutions.

  • Performance Monitoring:
    Monitor product performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve success.

  • Stakeholder Relationships:
    Foster strong relationships with business stakeholders for continuous product improvement.

  • Team Management:
    Manage delivery teams, including internal staff and third-party contractors, to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

  • Adaptability:
    Manage other duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility in response to changing business needs.

Qualifications (Minimum Required)

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree.

  • Industry Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, particularly in phase I/Ib clinical trials.

  • Product Management Tools:
    Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies.

  • Analytical Skills:
    Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Communication Skills:
    Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effectively working with cross-functional teams.

  • Leadership:
    Inspire confidence and motivate team members creatively and effectively.

Experience (Minimum Required)

  • Work Experience:
    At least 5+ years in product management or leadership roles within the life sciences or software development industry.

  • Software Development:
    Experience in developing and launching software products in a regulated environment.

  • Design Thinking:
    Familiarity with a design thinking approach for solution development.

  • Product Management Track Record:
    Proven history of managing a successful product throughout its lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree:
    MBA or equivalent.

  • Startup Experience:
    Prior experience in a fast-paced environment within the life sciences sector.

  • Certifications:
    Certification in Product Management or Agile methodologies.

  • Creative Problem Solving:
    Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically.

  • Interpersonal Skills:
    Strong focus on empathy and building collaborative relationships.
