Job Title: PRN Pharmacist – The Care Clinic Pharmacy

Location: San Antonio, TX


Position Overview             

Maxor National Pharmacy Services is seeking a compassionate and customer-focused PRN Pharmacist to join the Care Clinic Pharmacy at the San Antonio AIDS Foundation (SAAF). This per diem role involves working closely with clinic staff and providers in a team-based healthcare model to optimize patient outcomes.


About the San Antonio AIDS Foundation (SAAF)

SAAF has provided comprehensive care since 1986, aiming to prevent the spread of HIV and support individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Services include case management, mental health counseling, pharmacy care, housing assistance, and a hot meal program for low-income individuals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Fill prescriptions, compound medications, and prepare I.V. admixtures.

  • Provide patient counseling and drug information.

  • Collaborate with physicians to resolve prescription irregularities.

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with controlled substance regulations.

  • Monitor drug therapy for interactions, contraindications, and appropriateness.

  • Maintain medication records and inventory.

  • Participate in educational initiatives, team meetings, and performance improvement programs.

  • Promote excellence in customer service and adherence to compliance standards.

  • Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring pharmacy staff when needed.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited pharmacy program.

  • Active Texas Pharmacist license.

Experience:

  • At least one year of pharmacy practice (preferred).

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceuticals, including indications, contraindications, and dosing.

  • Strong communication and supervisory abilities.

  • Familiarity with pharmacy software and regulations.

  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency (preferred but not required).
