Job Overview

The Medical Information Associate will be responsible for handling medical inquiries and providing scientifically accurate, approved responses to healthcare professionals, patients, and internal stakeholders. The role also involves providing translational services (if applicable), working with clients to deliver a high standard of medical information and participating in the 24/7 call handling services provided by PrimeVigilance.


Key Accountabilities

  • Medical Inquiries Handling:
    Take responsibility for managing medical information inquiries in English and ideally one additional language. Provide approved responses to external customers, including healthcare professionals and patients, as well as assist internal teams with related queries.

  • Translational Activities:
    If applicable, provide translation services for medical inquiries in the second language, where requested by clients.

  • Call Center Responsibilities:
    Act as a call handling agent within PrimeVigilance's dedicated Medical Information Call Center, ensuring timely and accurate responses to all inquiries.

  • Research & Collaboration:
    Conduct thorough research in scientific literature to prepare responses and collaborate with physicians (internally or from pharmaceutical clients) to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the information provided.

  • Out-of-Hours Support:
    Participate in the out-of-hours provision of medical information services for clients who have contracted PrimeVigilance’s 24/7 inquiry handling service.


Qualifications

  • Education:
    An undergraduate degree in life sciences (e.g., pharmacy, biotechnology, biology, or related field).

  • Language Proficiency:
    Advanced level of English plus proficiency in at least one other language.

  • Technical Skills:
    Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

  • Additional Skills:

    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
    • Independent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Process-oriented with the ability to think critically.
    • Responsible and professional approach to work duties.
  • Experience:

    • Customer service experience is an advantage but not essential.
    • Prior experience in medical information, pharmacovigilance, or related fields is a plus.
