Float Phlebotomist – Labcorp
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, variable hours between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays.

Compensation & Benefits

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hour plus mileage reimbursement.
Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program: Eligibility for the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, based on performance metrics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screenings, paternity tests, and alcohol tests.
  • Accurately input patient information and process billing details.
  • Collect payments as required.
  • Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain logs of patient and specimen information.
  • Deliver superior customer service to all patients.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites as needed.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency (preferred).
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
