As a Float Phlebotomist, you will gain extensive experience by working with various patients, team members, and clinics/locations. This role allows you to develop your skills and offers continuous growth within the organization. If you enjoy variety, this role is perfect for you!

Compensation and Benefits:

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (hours vary between 7 AM – 7 PM based on coverage needs); rotating Saturdays as needed
Work Location: Austin, TX, and surrounding cities (50 - 60 mile radius)
Benefits: Employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO/FTO, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Part-time employees (less than 20 hours per week) are eligible for the 401(k) Plan only.
PST Incentive Plan: Eligible for quarterly bonuses based on performance metrics (where applicable).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to all patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred.
2 years of strong phlebotomy experience preferred.
Experience working with pediatric to geriatric patients is highly desirable.
Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
