Position Overview:
As a key member of the Pharmacy department at ABSMC-Alta Bates Herrick Campus, you will organize and coordinate day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws. You will serve as a liaison between the department and staff, physicians, patients, families, and other hospital personnel. Your role will involve delivering patient-centered pharmaceutical care, providing medication information and education, and ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy. You will exercise sound judgment and clinical skills to implement the patient's plan of care promptly, gaining trust and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent assessments, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adherence to local, state, and federal regulations is essential for maintaining privacy and safety in patient care. Additional responsibilities may include performing specific procedures and teaching duties.

Education:

  • Doctorate: Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy.

Certification & Licensure:

  • PHARMD-Licensed Pharmacist.

Typical Experience:

  • 3 years of recent relevant experience.

Pay Range:
$95.50 to $109.80 per hour. The salary range may vary based on location and other factors including experience, education, skills, licensure, and organizational needs. Base pay is part of a comprehensive rewards program at Sutter Health, which also includes a robust benefits package.
