Pay Rate: $30-35/hr (Varies by location)
Education/Experience Requirements: RN, BSN, or PharmD preferred; 3-6 years of clinical healthcare and pharmaceutical industry experience.


About the Job:

We are seeking a Pharmacovigilance Vendor Oversight Specialist to join our Patient Data Intake (PDI) team. This remote contract position will support the organization's mission to improve patient lives by ensuring the accurate and timely collection of adverse event and product quality complaint information. The role involves providing effective oversight of external vendors responsible for pharmacovigilance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee vendors handling the collection and intake of adverse event information in the company's safety system.
  • Ensure compliance with global regulations in the processing and reporting of adverse events and product complaints.
  • Support internal and external customers in gathering necessary information for product safety and complaints related to company products.
  • Monitor vendors to ensure adherence to company standards for quality, compliance, and productivity.
  • Stay current on knowledge and skills necessary to support the company’s customers.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as needed.
  • Assist in developing and delivering training materials in collaboration with vendors (e.g., train-the-trainer, refresher courses, special-topic training).
  • Oversee vendors' communication with customers and colleagues across multiple mediums to establish rapport.
  • Ensure proper documentation of adverse events and product complaints in multiple databases.
  • Support initiatives to enhance customer experience and PDI excellence.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on adverse event and product complaint intake processes.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced team members in the PDI department.
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as required by management.

Education & Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related health sciences field (RN, BSN, or PharmD preferred).
  • Experience: 3-6 years of clinical healthcare experience with prior pharmaceutical industry experience. Contact center experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • Candidates without the preferred degrees but with relevant pharmaceutical industry experience may be considered.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage vendor relationships effectively.
