Role Overview:
The Pharmacovigilance Services Analyst will be a key member of the Life Sciences R&D vertical at Accenture, contributing to our services across the entire life sciences enterprise. You will primarily focus on pharmacovigilance and drug safety surveillance, helping biopharma companies manage patient safety data and comply with global regulatory requirements. This role involves case management, report reconciliation, and submission of adverse event data in line with client and regulatory guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pharmacovigilance Case Management:

    • Manage and create case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, and case processing for Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs).
    • Ensure timely submission and follow-up of both serious and non-serious adverse event cases, in accordance with applicable global regulatory requirements.
    • Reconcile reports per the process, ensuring accurate tracking and completion of required follow-ups.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

    • Handle disputes and resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Interact with peers and supervisors, providing regular updates on progress and potential issues.
    • Work effectively with multiple stakeholders and clients to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflows.
  • Analysis and Problem Solving:

    • Analyze and solve lower-complexity problems related to pharmacovigilance data and case management.
    • Work on tasks with moderate supervision, and follow detailed instructions for new assignments.
    • Ensure that decisions made during case processing impact your work and, when applicable, the work of others.
  • Shift Work:

    • This role may require you to work in rotational shifts to accommodate global operational needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Master of Pharmacy.
  • Experience:

    • 3 to 5 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety Surveillance.
    • Familiarity with MedDRA coding, case processing, and ICSR submission.
    • Experience handling both serious and non-serious adverse event reporting.
  • Skills:

    • Strong ability to handle disputes and manage multiple stakeholders.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage lower-complexity issues.
    • Ability to work independently within a team-focused environment.
