More About the Pharmacist Position:

  • Perform duties in compliance with client guidelines and requirements.
  • Assist with tasks as requested to meet location and patient/customer needs, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Stay current with medication information, healthcare concepts, and regulations in retail, long-term care, and institutional pharmacy.
  • Interpret and clarify new and refill order requests to ensure appropriateness and maintain patient safety.
  • Prepare safe, accurate, and complete medication orders.
  • Ensure final checks on all prepared medication for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure medication orders and supplies are delivered promptly and accurately to the correct patients.
  • Provide support and suggestions to promote safe and effective medication therapy.
  • Complete all required documentation, including incident reports and controlled substances sheets.

Job Requirements for the Pharmacist:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Experience with Pharmacy Data Entry Systems
  • Pharmacy licensure in the state of employment is required
