Compensation: $102,200 - $140,700 annually (based on experience, skills, and location) + bonus incentive

Role Overview

The Senior RX Clinical Programs Pharmacist designs and implements strategies to enhance medication therapy management and optimize patient outcomes. This includes overseeing medication reviews, driving health awareness initiatives, conducting patient counseling, and managing multi-drug regimens for complex cases. The position demands independent decision-making and significant influence on departmental strategy.


Key Responsibilities

Medication Management and Strategy

  • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews for patients with complex medical regimens.
  • Develop and lead Rx education campaigns to improve health awareness.
  • Optimize prescription drug usage for safety and efficacy.

Patient Engagement

  • Place outbound calls to confirm medication adherence and provide patient counseling.
  • Educate patients on proper medication use and address concerns to improve outcomes.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Drive strategic initiatives related to pharmacy programs and health campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence departmental strategies.

Process Improvement

  • Use Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to enhance workflow efficiency and service delivery.
  • Manage projects, leveraging tools like SQL, Access, and Excel for data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

Required

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in applicable states.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in pharmacy benefits management, managed care, Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial health plans.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience in managed care.
  • Program or project management experience, with a history of leading teams.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools (Access, SQL, Excel).
  • Lean, Six Sigma certification.

Work Environment and Requirements

  • Remote: Dedicated workspace with minimal interruptions.
  • Internet Requirements: Minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
  • Technology Provided: Necessary telephone equipment.
  • State-Specific: Employees in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota receive bi-weekly internet expense payments.
