Per Diem Pharmacist - Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Position Type: Per Diem
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Various shifts, no weekends or major holidays)

Job Description:
Nuvem's Pharmacy Management Team is seeking a compassionate and patient-centric pharmacist to join our team and provide coverage for the pharmacy manager. This per-diem position will be based in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Cincinnati, OH, where you will manage pharmacy operations, provide clinical support, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

As a per-diem pharmacist, you will be responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations, managing staff, and building strong relationships with health center providers and clinical teams. You will also be expected to educate patients about their medications, promote patient safety, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Primary Role:
The role focuses on patient health, compliance, and satisfaction. As the per-diem pharmacist, you will help patients with chronic and specialty conditions, offer drug-related education, and contribute to clinical meetings. You will also foster a team culture that promotes enthusiasm, care, and professionalism while achieving specific pharmacy goals.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide patient education on medications and health conditions.
  • Manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, and address knowledge gaps through training and education.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality customer service.
  • Maintain inventory management, financial profitability, and loss prevention.
  • Stay up-to-date with HIPAA regulations and credentialing requirements.
  • Ensure pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local laws and facility policies.
  • Attend and participate in clinical meetings with healthcare providers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited university.
  • Licensing: Required licensing/certification in the state of Ohio.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • 3 years of related pharmacy experience.
    • Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
    • Knowledge of 340b programs (preferred but not required).
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and patient service skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Fine motor skills for repetitive tasks (e.g., keyboard and phone use).
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Hours:

  • Monday to Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • No weekends or major holidays.
