Essential Job Duties

  • Customer Support:

    • Respond promptly and efficiently to incoming calls and faxes, identifying the best ways to assist patients and healthcare providers.
  • Insurance Verification:

    • Conduct outbound calls for insurance verifications to determine if a patient’s prescribed therapy is eligible for coverage, documenting results in the appropriate tracking system.
  • Documentation and Follow-Up:

    • Accurately document calls in tracking systems and escalate issues as per established procedures.
    • Process patient applications according to program specifications, determine eligibility, and manage follow-ups as needed.
  • Patient Communication:

    • Maintain a professional, calm, and friendly demeanor while expressing thoughts clearly in both verbal and written communication.
    • Coordinate the order and transfer of prescriptions to specialty pharmacies based on urgency.
  • Patient Education:

    • Stay informed about the marketplace and insurance options available for patients, educating them on these options as appropriate.
  • Additional Duties:

    • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
