The opportunity:
The Packaging Supervisor will supervise the packaging department while ensuring compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and company policies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the filling and packaging of solid dose and oral suspension products.

  • Oversee and coordinate activities of employees in the Packaging Department.

  • Ensure adherence to cGMPs and SOPs during operations.

  • Develop and update SOPs related to department activities and train personnel.

  • Focus on quality, safety, and efficiency to improve work practices.

  • Ensure the security and accountability of materials and inventory control.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase department efficiency.

  • Enforce packaging standards and execute disciplinary actions when required.

  • Manage employee timecards, work hours, vacations, and leaves of absence.

  • Conduct investigations related to packaging deficiencies.

  • Support cross-functional departmental needs to ensure seamless production.

  • Identify and mitigate health and safety issues by maintaining a safe environment.

  • Maintain knowledge of ERP systems and Packaging Vision systems.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the Manager/Director.

Your experience and qualifications:
Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma (required), Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

  • Experience: Strong working knowledge of a Packaging Department.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with SOPs, cGMPs, and ERP systems.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move up to 70 lbs.

  • Not allergic to cephalosporins, chemicals, or bio-substances found in laboratory or production facilities.
