Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate packaging records and ensure compliance with production data.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) in the department.
  • Train workmen and operators on work instructions, ensuring SOPs are followed on the shop floor.
  • Monitor the production process to ensure timely and efficient completion of packaging tasks.
  • Provide periodic training and assess the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Ensure availability of all necessary input materials for packaging operations.
  • Ensure machines are properly maintained, and that outputs meet quality standards, with regular preventive maintenance.
  • Inspect and test packaging for quality and accuracy, ensuring minimal non-conformities.
  • Implement appropriate disciplinary actions for non-compliance with GDP and GMP standards.
  • Make minor adjustments to machine settings without affecting quality or output.
  • Perform routine maintenance on packaging equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
  • Take up alternate production plans in case of material shortages and suggest Kaizen improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in production/packaging.
  • Ability to work on a non-standard schedule as needed.
  • Experience in the Medical Devices Industry is desirable.
