Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Remote Administrative Role

Salary: $21/hour (Increases to $22/hour upon permanent hire)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM EST (40 hours per week)

Job Overview

Med-Scribe, Inc. is seeking a dedicated LPN for a remote administrative position focused on reviewing medical records for Medicare Appeals. This role is ideal for an LPN looking to apply their clinical expertise in a rewarding, intellectual capacity. As a key part of our team, you will work independently, engaging in a deadline-driven environment that requires strong analytical, writing, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Independently review and analyze medical records for Medicare Appeals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of appeals within a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to assess documentation and write detailed reports.
  • Adhere to strict deadlines and work effectively for a full 8-hour day on the computer.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
  • Valid, unrestricted NYS LPN Nursing license.
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience required.
  • Prior experience with prior authorizations, chart review, and utilization review preferred.
