About the Role

We are seeking proactive and versatile professionals for the role of IT Product Operations Manager within our growing team in India. As an IT Product Operations Manager, you will co-lead complex, globally deployed software solutions alongside a Product Manager and Tech Lead. You will be responsible for ensuring stable operations, user support, and the overall excellence of the software product.

Major Accountabilities

As part of a cross-functional team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Owning operational aspects of software applications, ensuring stable operations and infrastructure.
  • Mitigating operational risks and managing incident detection and resolution.
  • Troubleshooting recurring incidents and providing end-user support, communication, and documentation.
  • Leading vulnerability management efforts to meet security and compliance standards.
  • Ensuring license compliance, applying patches, and managing upgrades.
  • Coordinating teams of external application supporters and prioritizing operational activities.
  • Monitoring system performance metrics and facilitating operational excellence.
  • Ensuring adherence to Novartis global Information Security and Quality standards.
  • Engaging with other product teams to leverage operational synergies.

Experience Requirements

Core Skills and Capabilities:

  • Experience in software support, IT operations, or software development in complex environments.
  • Proven collaboration and team player skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development and SDLC.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and DevOps tools.
  • Familiarity with Windows or Linux OS, authentication protocols, and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience in drug discovery or scientific research is preferred.

Education and Qualification Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in software support or operations.
  • Familiarity with drug discovery research or life sciences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology or scientific field.
  • Fluent in English.

Product-Specific Expertise

We have several open roles with specific skills required:

  1. Visualization and Analytics: Familiarity with tools like Tibco Spotfire or similar visualization platforms. Experience with AWS, ITSM, and SQL is a plus.

  2. Research Data Portal: Strong understanding of scientific data and proficiency in Python and SQL.

  3. Sample Shipping and Compliance Logistics: AWS experience and scripting skills are required.

  4. Automation System Integration: Experience with cloud services and Enterprise Service BUS systems.

  5. Screening Workflows: Familiarity with Java, Python, or other programming languages and proven end-user support experience.

  6. New Modalities and Innovation: Strong organizational skills and experience with QA testing.

  7. Study Management and Logistics: Knowledge of biosafety, animal, and human research software solutions is preferred.

  8. RX Collaboration: Familiarity with Atlassian Confluence and Microsoft M365 collaboration solutions.

  9. RX Operations: Experience in application support and ITSM guidelines is required.
