Position Overview

The Medical Writer plays a vital role in the Medical Information team, providing timely, scientifically balanced information about pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical device, and digital therapeutic products. This position focuses on developing impactful medical response documents and requires expertise in medical information and content development, along with strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Global Medical Information and Medical Content Development Team in client engagements focused on medical content development.
  • Create and write scientific content related to Medical Affairs and Medical Information, including Scientific Response Documents (SRDs), Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and training materials.
  • Manage the document development process, facilitating discussions and reviews during medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) meetings.
  • Use document management platforms (e.g., Veeva PromoMats) as the content owner, ensuring proper documentation and referencing.
  • Perform scientific data fact-checking and collaborate with the medical writing team on project strategy and execution.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to the development and updating of SOPs, templates, and style guides.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and support leadership in improving operational efficiency and material quality.
  • Collaborate with other medical writers and creative teams across EVERSANA.

Expectations of the Job

  • Deliver CLIENT DELIGHT by working collaboratively and taking feedback from management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes of practice while developing high-quality, scientifically accurate content.
  • Proactively identify and manage quality issues, implementing timely corrective actions.
  • Be flexible in work scheduling to meet client and management needs, with potential travel of up to 10-15%.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Education: Doctorate or Master of Science (MSc) in Life Sciences or healthcare, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the pharmaceutical industry or Medical Information/Medical Communications, with a focus on developing global medical information materials.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex scientific data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Acrobat, and experience with literature searches using tools like PubMed and Embase.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to Medical Information and best practices for medical content development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees (Pharm.D., Pharm.M., MD, or PhD) preferred.
  • Experience in Medical Affairs and working across multiple therapeutic areas.
  • High proficiency in English, with fluency in one or more additional European languages.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering results.
