Job Summary:
As a Medical Writer, you will utilize your expertise in medical science and writing to develop high-quality scientific, medical, and educational content. This role provides an opportunity for you to build relationships with international clients and contribute to impactful communication strategies in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. You will have the chance to work on innovative projects, including digital assets and publications in oncology, particularly gastric cancer.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Development:

    • Write, proofread, and data-check scientific, medical, and educational materials like abstracts, posters, manuscripts, MSL/training slide decks, infographics, and congress materials under the guidance of senior scientific leads.

    • Ensure all materials are client-ready and follow SOPs, style guides, and templates.

  • Client Interaction and Relationship Building:

    • Build and maintain trusting relationships with international clients, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders.

    • Anticipate client needs and communicate effectively with team members, authors, clients, and vendors.

  • Medical Communications in the Digital Space:

    • Work with client directors to develop and execute medical communication strategies, including website content, interactive assets, patient narratives, and medical information engagement plans.

    • Contribute to the creation of innovative digital solutions for medical writing projects.

  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all materials comply with client requirements, style guides, and internal SOPs.

    • Stay updated on current developments in therapeutic areas and contribute to making cutting-edge research accessible to specific audiences.

  • Team Collaboration and Skill Development:

    • Share best practices and client preferences to support skill development within the team.

    • Attend workshops, seminars, and external meetings to enhance your medical writing skills.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • PhD/MD (Pharmacology) OR PhD (Life Sciences) OR PharmD with a good understanding of clinical research and medical communication.

  • Experience:

    • 1-3 years of experience in scientific writing, specifically in publications related to oncology (preferably gastric cancer).

  • Skills:

    • Strong scientific writing style with a high level of attention to detail.

    • Ability to adapt writing style for different materials and audiences.

    • Basic knowledge of biostatistics and literature review.

    • Proficiency in MS Office.
