The Position: Medical Value Partner

At Roche, we are driven by a vision of a healthier future—one where innovative science advances healthcare, ensuring everyone has access to the care they need today and in the future. As a Medical Value Partner (MVP), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical ecosystem for a specific therapeutic area by creating and leveraging external networks and collaborating with internal stakeholders. This position involves driving faster access to healthcare solutions, better outcomes for patients, and alignment with local laws, regulations, and Roche SOPs.

You will contribute to and implement tactical medical plans in collaboration with various internal teams, including Patient Journey Partners, Health System Partners, Commercial Enablers, Clinical Operations, Marketing, Market Access, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Global Medical Affairs. Additionally, you will manage Therapeutic Area Expert relationships, foster knowledge exchange throughout the product lifecycle, and support a Personalized Health Care approach. You will also act as the Single Point of Contact for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the dissemination of scientific information, provide knowledge on medical developments, and serve as a medical consultant for internal stakeholders.
  • Co-develop and implement the medical strategy and tactical medical plans for your assigned therapeutic area.
  • Coordinate insights gathered from external stakeholders and communicate them effectively to the cross-functional squad to shape medical and tactical strategy.
  • Support clinical operations and oversee local scientific evidence and data generation activities, ensuring compliance with all internal and external processes, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Review external stakeholder programs, including grants, sponsorships, and pre-approval programs, while providing therapeutic area regulatory support.
  • Provide oversight on Safety and Medical Information, ensuring compliance with high ethical standards, safety, and patient-centric approaches.
  • Build strong partnerships with external stakeholders, including HCPs, reimbursement and policy makers, and patient advocacy groups.

Who You Are:

  • You hold a Medical or PhD / Health Sciences degree with 3-5 years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry (desirable).
  • You possess a strong understanding of the local healthcare system, business (reimbursement and policies), and relevant laws and regulations.
  • You have experience in the principles and techniques of data analysis, interpretation, and assessment of clinical relevance to understand and communicate clinical study results effectively.
