Summary:
As a Remote Medical Scribe, you’ll work with Hawaii-based healthcare providers, offering documentation support in real-time. This role enables providers to focus on patient care, improving both efficiency and patient experience. Note that Hawaii-based providers operate between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM HST, and work hours may adjust by one hour in November and March based on U.S. mainland time changes due to Hawaii’s non-observance of daylight saving time.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare patient charts according to clinic protocols
Accompany healthcare providers during patient visits
Document patient history, physical exams, procedures, and care plans
Assist in maintaining quality metrics by ensuring accurate documentation
Record laboratory and radiographic study results
Enter medication orders and document patient instructions
Review completed charts with providers after patient visits
Update clinic and provider preference documents

Requirements:

Typing speed of at least 60+ words per minute
Available to work 30-40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 6:00 pm HST)
Must have a HIPAA-compliant workspace to maintain privacy
Strong fluency in English with excellent writing and speaking skills

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or 1-2 years of relevant experience required
Pre-health career track preferred
GPA > 3.5 preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive hourly rate ranging from $11.00 - $17.00, based on location, experience, and time commitment
