Mission:
Our Medical Scribe programs are designed to reduce the documentation burdens faced by healthcare providers, enabling them to deliver more effective patient care. Alongside, we foster the careers of medical scribes by providing educational opportunities and hands-on experience, preparing them for their future in healthcare.

Summary:
As a Medical Scribe at Scribe-X, you will support healthcare providers by documenting patient encounters in real-time across various specialties. You will be instrumental in helping providers improve care for patients from diverse backgrounds. All scribes undergo comprehensive training to ensure they are well-equipped to support their designated provider(s) and succeed in their healthcare careers.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare charts according to clinic protocols
  • Accompany providers during patient visits
  • Document patient history, physical exams, procedures, and treatment plans
  • Ensure accurate documentation for quality metrics and support provider compliance
  • Enter lab and radiographic results as ordered
  • Record medication orders and patient instructions
  • Review completed charts with providers between patients or at shift completion
  • Update clinic preference and provider preference documents as needed

Requirements:

  • Typing speed of at least 60 WPM
  • Availability to work 30-40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm PST)
  • HIPAA-compliant workspace to protect sensitive patient information
  • Fluent in English with strong writing and speaking skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 1-2 years of equivalent experience in a related field
  • Pre-health career track strongly preferred
  • GPA > 3.5 preferred
  • Proficient in medical terminology and human anatomy

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage from $11.00 - $17.00, based on location, experience, and time commitment
  • Additional $1.00 per hour for bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates
