Job Title: Medical Science Liaison – Viral Liver Disease, Hepatology, Infectious Disease/HIV
Location: Various Locations (Travel up to 70%)

Position Overview:

We are excited to announce an opportunity for Medical Science Liaisons with expertise in viral liver disease, hepatology, and infectious disease/HIV. In this role, you will engage in scientific discussions with clinical physicians, staff, and other stakeholders to support the clinical trial teams. You will also contribute valuable clinical insights to inform decision-making and ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant scientific communications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Scientific Dialogue: Engage with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in the liver disease and infectious disease space, providing fair and balanced scientific exchange on viral hepatitis, its diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Educational Support: Deliver peer-to-peer scientific education to support clinical trial teams and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to share actionable clinical insights and provide relevant medical information.
  • Medical Resource: Serve as an internal resource for knowledge related to scientific communication guidelines and the regulatory environment.
  • Clinical Trial Support: Work with Clinical Trial Leads and Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) to support clinical trials and deliver clinical data.
  • Advisory and Advocacy Development: Support the development of healthcare professional advocacy programs and contribute to the design and implementation of peer influence initiatives.
  • Medical Congress Representation: Attend and represent the company at medical congresses and advisory boards, building relationships and presenting key data to healthcare professionals.
  • Project Contributions: Assist with internal projects, presentations, and advisory events as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Advanced clinical/medical degree (Pharm D, MD, PhD) from an accredited institution. A Master’s Degree is required, with an advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in the therapeutic area of hepatology and/or infectious diseases is highly preferred. Prior MSL experience is a must.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Skills:
    • Strong expertise in discussing scientific content with various audiences.
    • Proficient in support technologies (e.g., PC, CRM tools, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook).
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliant scientific communication guidelines.
  • Clinical Trial Experience: Preferred.
  • Language: Fluent in English.

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Must comply with client vaccination requirements for on-site services.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Compensation:

The potential base pay for this role is $180,000 - $200,000 annually. Actual pay may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, and position. Additional compensation may include incentive plans, bonuses, and other benefits.
