Job Description:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL)/Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) is a field-based scientific expert specializing in gene therapy. This role involves engaging healthcare professionals and leaders through clinical, scientific, and value-based peer-to-peer scientific exchanges on recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP). The MSL will build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and professional societies while maintaining a thorough understanding of clinical protocols and gene therapy procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary medical point of contact in the assigned geographic area.

  • Maintain expertise in otolaryngology, gene therapy, and standards of care for RRP.

  • Engage in compliant scientific exchanges with KOLs and HCPs.

  • Develop and manage KOL engagement plans, fostering long-term collaborations.

  • Facilitate pre-launch profiling of top accounts/institutions to understand patient care pathways.

  • Collaborate with R&D teams to support clinical trial sites and investigators.

  • Respond to and document unsolicited information requests on clinical initiatives.

  • Provide internal teams with feedback and insights gained from KOL interactions.

  • Represent the company at medical meetings and develop internal reports.

  • Adhere to corporate SOPs and regulatory guidelines in all scientific interactions.

  • Contribute to the success of the MSL team and support organizational goals beyond assigned territories.

  • Support investigator-sponsored trial (IST) proposals and provide medical input for internal teams.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, NP/PA).

  • MSL: Minimum 2 years of MSL experience with at least 1 year in rare disease, oncology, or immunology.

  • Sr. MSL: Minimum 5 years of pharma experience and 3 years in rare disease, oncology, or immunology.

  • Experience in Cell and Gene Therapy preferred.

  • Prior product launch experience required.

  • Strong scientific, business, and clinical acumen with excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to interpret and present scientific data to engage KOLs and payer systems.

  • Working knowledge of RRP standards of care and relevant institutions/clinics.

  • Ability to travel up to 70% with overnight stays.
