Job Description:
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL)/Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) serves as a field-based scientific expert in gene therapy, focusing on recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP). This role involves engaging healthcare professionals (HCPs), Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and professional societies to facilitate scientific exchange and build collaborative relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary medical point of contact within the assigned territory.

  • Maintain expertise in otolaryngology pathophysiology, gene therapy, and RRP standards of care.

  • Conduct scientific peer exchange with KOLs regarding company pipelines.

  • Develop and track KOL engagement plans, fostering long-term relationships.

  • Engage in medical/scientific exchanges with professional communities and advisory boards.

  • Manage and develop territory-related relationships and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with R&D teams to support clinical trial sites and investigators.

  • Conduct pre-launch KOL profiling and facilitate account/institution profiling efforts.

  • Work compliantly with commercial teams to align account engagement strategies.

  • Respond to and document unsolicited requests for medical/scientific information.

  • Serve as a resource for investigator-sponsored trial (IST) proposals.

  • Represent the company at medical meetings and provide congress reports.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, or NP/PA).

  • MSL: Minimum 2 years of MSL experience with at least 1 year in rare disease, oncology, or immunology.

  • Sr. MSL: Minimum 5 years of pharma experience and 3 years in rare disease, oncology, or immunology.

  • Strong preference for Cell and Gene Therapy experience.

  • Prior product launch experience required.

  • Proven ability to engage KOLs with scientific and clinical data.

  • Knowledge of RRP standards of care and familiarity with payer systems preferred.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and networking skills.

  • Ability to travel frequently (up to 70%) with overnight stays as required.
