Role Summary:
As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will represent BMS's medical mission, establishing trusted partnerships to share high-impact data that drives scientific progress, optimizes medical practices, and ensures the appropriate use of BMS medicines. MSLs spend a significant amount of time (60-70%) in the field interacting with external stakeholders. You will foster relationships with healthcare providers (HCPs) and thought leaders (TLs), ensuring patients have access to and use BMS medicines safely.

Key Responsibilities:

External Environment and Customer Focus

  • Engage with TLs and HCPs to address scientific inquiries related to BMS products and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR).
  • Develop and execute a medical interaction plan, tailored to the needs of key accounts like Army, Railways, and CGHS.
  • Ensure medical accuracy and compliance while presenting information to HCPs.
  • Assess the medical landscape by meeting with TLs, staying informed on treatment strategies, clinical trials, and unmet needs.
  • Provide meaningful medical insights to the medical and commercial teams.
  • Report safety information, including adverse events, as per BMS protocols.

Medical Plan Contribution

  • Develop and implement Field Medical plans and TL Interaction plans in line with therapeutic area objectives.
  • Support the development and delivery of scientifically meaningful medical programs.

Medical Support

  • Provide scientific updates and training to internal stakeholders such as Commercial, Regulatory, and Market Access teams.
  • Present unbiased scientific and clinical data at promotional meetings and assist BMS-contracted speakers.

Support Clinical Trial Activities

  • Contribute to Interventional and Non-Interventional Research (NIR) studies.
  • Assist with patient recruitment for clinical trials and support discussions about the safe use of BMS investigational products.

Patient Advocacy Support

  • Collaborate with patient advocacy groups to implement patient education programs.
  • Contribute to the creation of patient education materials.

Qualifications:

  • MBBS, MD, BDS, MDS
  • 1-2 years of experience in Field Medical affairs (Oncology Hematology preferred)
  • Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of clinical trial processes, national healthcare systems, and HEOR concepts is a plus
