Position Overview

As a Medical Information Specialist within the Medical Communications team, you will deliver industry-leading services that include case processing of adverse event reports, product quality complaints, and medical inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process adverse event reports, product quality complaint reports, and medical inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers.
  • Identify adverse events and product complaints during data entry of medical inquiries.
  • Write adverse event reports, product quality complaint reports, correspondences, and case documentation.
  • Coordinate processes for responding to quality-related complaints, interacting with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and complainants.
  • Utilize drug information skills to critically evaluate and analyze medical literature for information dissemination.
  • Engage in miscellaneous projects such as market and competitive product research, system development, sales training projects, and field liaison support.
  • Perform medical writing tasks.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) or Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.).
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in clinical settings, medical information, or pharmacovigilance.
  • Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a call center, medical information, pharmacovigilance, or the pharmaceutical industry, including medical writing.
  • Technology Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Medical Information Management Systems or Safety Databases.
  • Positive Attitude: Exhibits enthusiasm, a genuine interest in others, and a sense of humor to uplift team morale.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to articulate ideas clearly and motivate others.
