Position Overview

The Medical Information Specialist is a vital role within the Medical Information Contact Center (MICC) team, providing scientifically balanced, evidence-based information to support the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products. This position also involves handling post-marketing adverse events and product complaints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to medical inquiries from healthcare professionals, consumers, and payers, utilizing medical information skills to research and evaluate literature.
  • Write narratives for adverse events and product complaints, as well as custom responses to inquiries.
  • Handle requests through multiple channels (phone, email, CRM, chat).
  • Identify adverse events and product complaints during customer interactions, generating compliant reports as required by FDA regulations.
  • Coordinate responses to product quality complaints, collaborating with departments like Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Maintain knowledge of product details, therapeutic areas, and client-specific requirements.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Education:
Pharm.D, Master of Science (MSc), B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or any relevant Life Sciences degree.

Experience and Skills:

  • Excellent documentation skills and strong clinical background.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degrees (Pharm.D, MSc) or relevant life sciences qualifications.
  • Proven experience in a medical information or regulatory role.
