Position Overview

The Medical Information Specialist plays a crucial role in the Medical Information Contact Center (MICC) team, providing timely and scientifically balanced information about pharmaceutical products. This position supports the safe and effective use of these products by responding to unsolicited inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and payers. Additionally, the role involves post-marketing handling of adverse events and product complaints, requiring clinical knowledge and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals, consumers, and payers, utilizing medical information skills to research and evaluate medical literature.
  • Write adverse event and product complaint narratives during intake, along with custom responses to medical inquiries.
  • Handle requests through various channels (phone, email, CRM, chat).
  • Identify adverse events and product complaints, performing intake to generate reports in compliance with EVERSANA-MICC and client procedures, with knowledge of FDA post-marketing regulations.
  • Coordinate processes for responding to product quality complaints, interacting with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and other relevant departments.
  • Maintain knowledge of product, therapeutic areas, and client-specific requirements.
  • Ensure high-quality documentation and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Education: Pharm.D, Master of Science (MSc), B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or other Life Sciences degree.
  • Strong clinical background with excellent documentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in medical information or customer service within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
