Job Position: Medical Information Specialist

Overview of the Job:
We are seeking a full-time Medical Information Specialist to handle HUB services for a pharmaceutical company. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with managing inbound and outbound calls and a solid understanding of medical terminology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage large volumes of inbound and outbound calls promptly and efficiently.
  • Screen and answer medical service requests and telephone inquiries while adhering strictly to confidentiality agreements and organizational policies.
  • Follow approved communication protocols when addressing various topics.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound calls in our call center database in a clear and organized manner.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Pharmacy or related field.

Knowledge:

  • A solid understanding of medical terminology, medical billing practices, and reimbursement is essential to provide medical support in healthcare settings.

Skills:

  • Excellent Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong Active Listening Skills: Ability to actively listen, comprehend, and decode customer messages, as well as understand implied meanings in communications.
  • Documentation Skills: Strong skills in documenting all interactions accurately.
