Job Description

Position: Medical Communications Specialist

In this role within our integrated commercial services, you will play a key part in building credibility and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and industry clients. This position involves delivering industry-leading services, including call center staffing for product information requests, identifying and processing adverse events and product quality issues, and medical writing.

This is a full-time home office position, ideally based in Poland, Ireland, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany, or Spain. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the European Union or the UK.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Translate documents between English and the target language, delivering translated responses either verbally or in writing.
  • Respond to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals and patients, and disseminate drug information verbally or in writing.
  • Identify and document adverse events and product complaints, ensuring compliance with EVERSANA Medical Communications and client SOPs and local Regulatory Authority requirements.
  • Utilize writing skills to create narratives for adverse event and product complaint reports and custom responses to medical inquiries.
  • Coordinate responses to quality-related complaints, involving interactions with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and complainants as needed.
  • Research and develop information from medical literature for dissemination to healthcare professionals.
  • Handle miscellaneous projects such as market research, system development, sales training, and field liaison support.
  • Perform on-call responsibilities as assigned.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.

Expectations of the Job

  • Maintain and enhance customer service within the Medical Communications Call Centre.
  • Work from a home office or European hub office.
  • Adhere to Europe working hours between 8am-6pm CET, Monday to Friday, with potential Bank Holiday work compensated with a day off in lieu.
  • Contribute to process improvement and maintain metrics associated with the Medical Communications Call Centre.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Education: Degree in Life Sciences or healthcare.
  • Experience: Strong clinical background with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Language: Fluent in English (C1 level) and native French; additional languages such as Czech or German are a plus.
  • Translation skills: Strong ability to translate medical content.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Preferred Pharm.D, M.Pharm, or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or healthcare (e.g., BSc or MSc in Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Anatomy & Physiology, Health Science, Human Science).
  • Experience: Background in Call Center, Medical Information, pharmaceutical industry, and clinical experience including medical writing.
  • Technology/Equipment: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows applications; experience with Medical Information Management Systems and Safety Databases.
  • Personal Traits: Positive attitude, strong communication skills, innovative thinking, and high ethical standards.
