Job Description: Medical Information Manager

Location: Multiple regions (US, EU, JAPAC)

Key Responsibilities

Medical Information Service Delivery

  • Provide oversight and direction to teams, ensuring high-quality and efficient handling of medical information inquiries.

  • Comply with client-specific Working Practices and internal SOPs.

  • Deliver verbal and written clinical and technical information to stakeholders.

  • Manage reporting of Adverse Events, Product Quality Complaints, and pregnancy information.

  • Conduct literature searches and evaluations as needed.

  • Represent ProPharma in operational meetings and reallocate team resources based on client needs.

  • Ensure teams deliver exceptional customer service.

Business Development

  • Represent Medical Information services in corporate activities and client implementations.

  • Identify and communicate business development opportunities to Senior Management.

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor team performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Investigate complaints and deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.

  • Track trends in service quality and ensure compliance with reporting standards.

  • Support client and regulatory audits as needed.

Personnel Management and Training

  • Mentor, coach, and motivate team members to foster a collaborative work environment.

  • Resolve conflicts and manage performance reviews.

  • Plan headcount requirements and oversee recruitment and onboarding.

  • Identify training needs and ensure appropriate programs are in place.

General Responsibilities

  • Ensure confidentiality and data privacy compliance in line with ProPharma SOPs.

  • Act as a positive role model and maintain professionalism.

  • Take responsibility for additional tasks as delegated by Senior Management.


Qualifications

US-Specific

  • Professional degree (RPh, PharmD, PhD, MD, RN, DVM, or similar) and 5+ years of management experience in a contact center or 4+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical/clinical experience.

EU & JAPAC-Specific

  • Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or equivalent.

  • Strong understanding of regional medical information services and healthcare systems.

Skills and Attributes

  • In-depth knowledge of medical information trends, technologies, and industry regulations.

  • Strong technical and medical writing ability.

  • Ability to interpret complex scientific data and present it clearly.

  • Superior organizational, multitasking, and project management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Flexible, service-oriented approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and customer service focus.
