Job Description

Position: Medical Editor

As a Medical Editor at EVERSANA INTOUCH®, you will be responsible for a wide range of editorial services, including medical editing, copyediting, proofreading, and claim (fact) checking for digital and print pharmaceutical advertising materials, presentations, and corporate communications. You will oversee the editorial consistency and FDA compliance throughout the project lifecycle, serving as the main editorial voice for assigned brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform medical editing, copyediting, and proofreading to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Check claims to ensure comprehensive and accurate support for all assertions; provide submission support as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare various promotional materials, including mobile apps, iPad detail aids, print sales aids, websites, videos, emails, and speaker decks.
  • Manage multiple brand tasks with competing deadlines, coordinating coverage with Editorial team members.
  • Represent the Editorial department in internal kickoffs and status meetings.
  • Create and maintain key documents such as brand style guides and process documents.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new Medical Editors.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education and experience); MS degree is also acceptable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of editing experience in the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 1 year in advertising or marketing preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in editing for language clarity, consistency, brand accuracy, and correct balance. Strong ability to manage competing deadlines and collaborate effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent proficiency in editing software and tools; high attention to detail in language, grammar, spelling, and formatting.

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $56,000 to $76,000. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, job-related qualifications, and geographic location. Note that this salary range is applicable to locations within the U.S. only. EVERSANA reserves the right to adjust this range as needed.
