Position Summary:

The Medical Content and Review Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) compliance process is rigorously followed. This role manages the end-to-end MLR process for clients, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all promotional and non-promotional content before it is published. You will be responsible for scheduling, organizing, and leading review meetings, managing document submissions, and ensuring all materials meet internal and external policies and regulations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

MLR Process Management:

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end MLR process for assigned clients.

  • Schedule and lead Review Committee meetings, setting the agenda and ensuring timely and organized reviews.

  • Document meeting discussions in real time via Veeva Vault and ensure all comments are captured accurately.

  • Scribe meeting minutes, circulate draft minutes for review, and finalize them for approval.

  • Ensure that all materials are properly vetted through the review system (e.g., Veeva Vault PromoMats, Vault MedComms).

  • Cascade and enforce updates to policies and guidelines related to content review.

  • Verify that all materials are correctly assigned to the appropriate review path.

  • Reject incomplete submissions and materials that are not review-ready.

  • Quality check final documents against approved versions.

Medical Content Support:

  • Assist in the development and execution of project plans for content creation.

  • Support the medical content development team in content creation and review processes.

  • Manage the uploading of materials into client review and approval platforms, ensuring proper annotations and reference anchoring.

Medical Affairs and Medical Information Support:

  • Assist Medical Affairs and Medical Information leadership in developing and managing project plans for key initiatives.


Expectations of the Job:

  • Metrics: Maintain and improve processes to positively impact key MLR metrics.

  • Customer Service: Maintain high levels of customer service throughout the MLR review process.

  • Time Management: Complete MLR coordination responsibilities on time and efficiently.

  • Travel: This position does not require travel.


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences or Biomedical field.

  • Experience: At least 2 years in a healthcare agency or pharmaceutical company, with experience in Scientific Writing, Scientific Reviewing, or MLR.

  • Proficiency with Veeva Vault PromoMats/MedComms.

  • Project management and time management skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree (Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field) preferred.

  • Familiarity with global healthcare compliance laws and regulations.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).

  • Ability to handle cross-functional projects and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
