Position Summary

The Medical Communications role is vital in building credibility and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and industry clients. This home office-based position involves delivering industry-leading services, including call center staffing, responding to product information requests, identifying and documenting adverse events, and medical writing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Translation: Translate English documents to the target language and vice versa, delivering responses verbally or in writing.

  • Inquiry Response: Triage and respond to drug information inquiries from healthcare professionals and patients.

  • Information Dissemination: Provide drug information verbally or in written correspondence.

  • Adverse Events Reporting: Identify adverse events and product complaints, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal SOPs.

  • Writing Skills: Utilize writing skills to create narratives for adverse event reports and custom responses.

  • Quality Complaint Coordination: Engage with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and other departments for quality-related complaints.

  • Research and Evaluation: Evaluate medical literature to develop information for healthcare professionals.

  • Miscellaneous Projects: Involvement in market research, system development, and sales training projects.

  • Medical Writing: Handle on-call responsibilities as assigned.

  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as required.

Job Expectations

  • Customer Service: Maintain and improve service quality at the Medical Communications Call Centre.

  • Workplace Flexibility: Home office or European hub office.

  • Working Hours: Full-time, with a rotating schedule that includes weekends and potential night shifts.

  • Metrics Contribution: Support process improvements impacting call centre metrics.

  • Travel: Up to 10% as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Education: Life Sciences or healthcare degree or equivalent.

  • Experience: Strong clinical background with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Language Proficiency: C1 level English and fluency in Spanish with strong translation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Advanced degrees (Pharma D / M Pharma) or related fields such as MSc in Life Sciences or healthcare.

  • Experience: Background in call centers, medical information, or the pharmaceutical industry, including medical writing.

  • Technology Proficiency: Computer skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Medical Information Management Systems.
