As a Medical Coding Auditor specializing in Radiology Coding, you will perform audits on medical records, ensuring the correct application of diagnosis and CPT codes based on ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding systems. You will be tasked with auditing both Outpatient and Inpatient records while maintaining high standards for accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit medical records to verify accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures in accordance with ICD-10 and CPT-4 standards.
  • Perform coding audits for both Outpatient and Inpatient records, ensuring a minimum of 96% accuracy and meeting turnaround time requirements.
  • Surpass productivity targets for medical coding, in line with inpatient and/or specialty-specific outpatient coding standards.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to minimize revenue leakage while maintaining compliance with coding standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with coding trends, improve skills, and enhance accuracy by attending team meetings and educational conferences.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduates in life sciences with 2-4 years of experience in Radiology Medical Coding.
  • Experience in Medical Coding Auditing and Physician Education, particularly in Radiology Coding, is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Coding Procedures and Medical Terminology in an ambulatory setting.
  • Familiarity with CPT-4, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • CCS/CPC/CPC-H/CIC/COC certification from AAPC/AHIMA is a plus.
  • Valid coding certification with proof.
  • In-depth understanding of medical coding and billing systems, regulatory requirements, auditing principles, and concepts.
